創世記第１章
1 初めに、神が天と地を創造した。
2 地は形がなく、何もなかった。やみが大いなる水の上にあり、神の霊は水の上を動いていた。
3 そのとき、神が「光よ。あれ。」と仰せられた。すると光ができた。
4 神はその光をよしと見られた。そして神はこの光とやみとを区別された。
5 神は、この光を昼と名づけ、このやみを夜と名づけられた。こうして夕があり、朝があった。第一日。
6 ついで神は「大空よ。水の間にあれ。水と水との間に区別があるように。」と仰せられた。
7 こうして神は、大空を造り、大空の下にある水と、大空の上にある水とを区別された。するとそのようになった。
8 神は、その大空を天と名づけられた。こうして夕があり、朝があった。第二日。
9 神は「天の下の水は一所に集まれ。かわいた所が現われよ。」と仰せられた。するとそのようになった。
10 神は、かわいた所を地と名づけ、水の集まった所を海と名づけられた。神は見て、それをよしとされた。
11 神が、「地は植物、種を生じる草、種類にしたがって、その中に種のある実を結ぶ果樹を地の上に芽生えさせよ。」と仰せられると、そのようになった。
12 それで、地は植物、おのおのその種類にしたがって種を生じる草、おのおのその種類にしたがって、その中に種のある実を結ぶ木を生じた。神は見て、それをよしとされた。
13 こうして夕があり、朝があった。第三日。
14 ついで神は、「光る物は天の大空にあって、昼と夜とを区別せよ。しるしのため、季節のため、日のため、年のために、役立て。
15 天の大空で光る物となり、地上を照らせ。」と仰せられた。するとそのようになった。
16 それで神は二つの大きな光る物を造られた。大きいほうの光る物には昼をつかさどらせ、小さいほうの光る物には夜をつかさどらせた。また星を造られた。
17 神はそれらを天の大空に置き、地上を照らさせ、
18 また昼と夜とをつかさどり、光とやみとを区別するようにされた。神は見て、それをよしとされた。
19 こうして夕があり、朝があった。第四日。
20 ついで神は、「水は生き物の群れが、群がるようになれ。また鳥は地の上、天の大空を飛べ。」と仰せられた。
21 それで神は、海の巨獣と、その種類にしたがって、水に群がりうごめくすべての生き物と、その種類にしたがって、翼のあるすべての鳥を創造された。神は見て、それをよしとされた。
22 神はまた、それらを祝福して仰せられた。「生めよ。ふえよ。海の水に満ちよ。また鳥は、地にふえよ。」
23 こうして、夕があり、朝があった。第五日。
24 ついで神は、「地は、その種類にしたがって、生き物、家畜や、はうもの、その種類にしたがって野の獣を生ぜよ。」と仰せられた。するとそのようになった。
25 神は、その種類にしたがって野の獣、その種類にしたがって家畜、その種類にしたがって地のすべてのはうものを造られた。神は見て、それをよしとされた。
26 そして神は、「われわれに似るように、われわれのかたちに、人を造ろう。そして彼らに、海の魚、空の鳥、家畜、地のすべてのもの、地をはうすべてのものを支配させよう。」と仰せられた。
27 神はこのように、人をご自身のかたちに創造された。神のかたちに彼を創造し、男と女とに彼らを創造された。
28 神はまた、彼らを祝福し、このように神は彼らに仰せられた。「生めよ。ふえよ。地を満たせ。地を従えよ。海の魚、空の鳥、地をはうすべての生き物を支配せよ。」
29 ついで神は仰せられた。「見よ。わたしは、全地の上にあって、種を持つすべての草と、種を持って実を結ぶすべての木をあなたがたに与えた。それがあなたがたの食物となる。
30 また、地のすべての獣、空のすべての鳥、地をはうすべてのもので、いのちの息のあるもののために、食物として、すべての緑の草を与える。」すると、そのようになった。
31 そのようにして神はお造りになったすべてのものをご覧になった。見よ。それは非常によかった。こうして夕があり、朝があった。第六日。
［コメント］
これは、地球の表面の創造でなく、地球の内部の創造の話のようです。地球の内部は空洞でその中には水があったが、上の水と下の水に分けられ中間に空き（Firmement）が作られたようです。下の水は一か所に集められて海と陸が作られ、空と呼ばれる空き（Firmement）には大きな光と小さな光、そして星が作られたようです。これは地上から見える日、月そして星と似たものでしょう。最初に作られた光は（地球内部から見て）上の水の上に作られたもので、内部の半分しか照らさなかったのでしょう（このために夜と昼の部分が生じた）。

1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
3 And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." And there was evening, and there was morning--the first day.
6 And God said, "Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water." 7 So God made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it. And it was so. 8 God called the expanse "sky." And there was evening, and there was morning--the second day.
9 And God said, "Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear." And it was so. 10 God called the dry ground "land," and the gathered waters he called "seas." And God saw that it was good.
11 Then God said, "Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds." And it was so. 12 The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. 13 And there was evening, and there was morning--the third day.
14 And God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark seasons and days and years, 15 and let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth." And it was so. 16 God made two great lights--the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. 17 God set them in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth, 18 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19 And there was evening, and there was morning--the fourth day.
20 And God said, "Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky." 21 So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living and moving thing with which the water teems, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 22 God blessed them and said, "Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth." 23 And there was evening, and there was morning--the fifth day.
24 And God said, "Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind." And it was so. 25 God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
26 Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. 28 God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground."
29 Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. 30 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground--everything that has the breath of life in it--I give every green plant for food." And it was so.
31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning--the sixth day.

1-2. YHWH created the heavens and the earth.
The inner of the earth was empty and fulfilled with waters. The darkness was over the waters.
3-4. YHWH created the light and separated it from the darknes.
(The light like lamp was created and the half of inner surface of the earth was illuminated.)
5. YHWH called the light "day" and the darkness "night".
6-8. YHWH made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it. YHWH called the expanse "sky."
(The water under the expanse correspond to the water on the inner surface of the earth.)
9-10. YHWH gatherd the water under the sky to one place in order to create land and seas.
11-13. YHWH created plants and trees on the land.
14-19. YHWH created lights in the sky to give light on the earth.
(These lights resemble the Sun,the Moon and the stars.)
20-23. YHWH created living creatures in the sea and the birds in the sky.
24-25. YHWH created the wild animals,the live stock and all the creatures on the land.
26-31 YHWH created man in his own image.
